KATSINA STATE OVERVIEW:

Katsina State was created in 1989 and carved out of the former north central state, Kaduna State. The State was founded in cc. 1100, and was named for Katsina, the wife of Janzama, the local ruler at that time and also a princess of Daura. The State majorly consists of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic group.there are other minor ethnic groups in the state.
