FCT Abuja OVERVIEW:

Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria, It is situated in the central region of Nigeria (FCT). It took its name from the ancient Hausa emirate of Abuja which itself was in turn named after a fortified settlement near Zuba by Abu(bakar) Ja in 1828 (meaning Abu the Red (or Fair-Skinned like some Fulanis), ja is the word for red or fair-complexioned in Hausa). Abuja is a pre-planned city, and was created in the 1980s and finally became Nigeria's capital in 1991, substituting Lagos. Abuja has seen an enormous migration of people into the city; these development has prompted the rise of satellite towns, such as Suleja, Lugbe, Gwagwalada, Kuje Karu Urban Area,etc.

Therefore, it is advisable for prospective candidates to register in time, in other to meet up with their desired study centre location. Thereafter the online registration, the name and address of the candidates chosen study centres will be on candidates registration printout, Thus candidates are expected to proceed to his/her chosen study centre for clearance and resumption.
